Scotland Yard, the anticipated sequel to Hayes Valley's Noir Lounge, opens next Thursday, July 30th in the Marina. Named for the famed headquarters of London's Metropolitan Police force, the bar picks up where Noir Lounge left off.
Like it's predecessor, Scotland Yard will feature a drink menu focusing on local breweries and "low-production wineries." Executive chef Jason Raffin will be staying on from the restaurant's former life as Bin 38 and, according to the press release, will be serving "fresh, local cuisine with modern San Francisco flair" despite the Victorian surroundings. No word yet on whether there will be red herring.
Speaking of those interiors: the team from G. Paoletti Design Lab, whose work you may have seen at Maven and Tipsy Pig, have opened up the front bar space and gave the whole place some more character with dark, textured wallpaper and plenty of iron and glass accents.
