Ad Lib, Thomas Keller's pop-up in Napa's The Royal Oak at Silverado Resort and Spa that was supposed to only last one month, is officially coming to an end. Now nine months after its opening, Keller is shutting down the temporary project on Monday, October 19, Inside Scoop reported. Leading up to its close, the restaurant will serve some of its "greatest hits," like the Caesar salad prepared tableside and prime beef short-rib Wellington for two during regular dinner hours Thursday to Monday from 5 p.m.- 9 p.m. It will also extend brunch service from 10 a.m.- 2:30 p.m. for the Frys.com Open golf tournament (held at Silverado Resort) from October 15-18.

Keller originally opened Ad Lib to keep the French Laundry staff (and the restaurant's purveyors) employed during French Laundry’s lengthy renovation. That ended on April 7, when French Laundry reopened, and Keller had to bring in new employees to staff Ad Lib. We've reached out to Keller's camp to find out what will now happen to those new Ad Lib employees. Stay tuned for updates.

UPDATE: A representative for Keller told us that the new employees will be absorbed into The French Laundry, Bouchon, Bouchon Bakery and Ad Hoc + Addendum.
