Melissa Perello (Octavia) has been grooming Michaela Rahorst to take over the kitchen at Frances for the last year or so, but now, with Rahorst's new cuisine de chef title, the transition is official.
Rahorst has been working along side Perello since day one at Frances and the two have very similar cooking styles. As Inside Scoop reports, Perello's decision to hand the reins to her was an easy one. "There was no one else I would ever think to put in place at Frances."
Fans of Frances will be relieved to know that the menu is not expected to change much. Perello and Rahorst reassure Inside Scoop that "longtime favorites like the panisse frites, Five Dot Ranch bavette steak and lumberjack cake will remain."
As for Perello, she plans to focus on Octavia which opened this past spring and enjoy watching "Rahorst flourish in her new role."
