After Tartine Bakery’s global takeover was announced, Chad Robertson and Elizabeth Prueitt sold Bar Tartine to chefs Cortney Burns and Nick Balla (who have been running it for the past several years), with plans to rename the award-winning restaurant and shake up its menu. Now, the culinary duo told Tablehopper that the new name will be Crescent "because it summarizes the ebb and flow of things, and the birthplace of civilization and food," whatever that means. The name is vague enough to let the food change up and flow between cuisines, though they haven’t nailed down those details quite yet. There’s a new logo and more information on the identity to come in the next three to six months, which is the timeline for the change to take effect. Obviously, stay tuned.
