MISSIONNoise Pop and Ne Timeas Restaurant Group's third annual 20th Street Block Party is Saturday, September 12 from 12 p.m.- 6 p.m., and they just announced the food lineup, which includes dishes from Flour + Water, Trick Dog, Frozen Kuhsterd, The American Grilled Cheese Kitchen, Mission Minis, Asiento and more, plus demos by chefs Thomas McNaughton (Central Kitchen, Flour + Water), Telmo Faria (Uma Casa, Tacolicious) and Three Babes Bakeshop, among others. FISHERMAN’S WHARF — It's time for Ghirardelli's annual chocolate festival on Saturday, September 12 and Sunday, September 13 with over 50 vendors, a chocolate & wine pavilion, culinary demos, chocolate school and more. Buy tickets here, of which 100 percent of proceeds are donated to Project Open Hand.

RUSSIAN HILL — The James Beard Taste America "Local Flavor from Coast To Coast" national tour is stopping in SF on Friday, October 23, and Saturday, October 24. The weekend's highlight is Friday night's "A Night of Culinary Stars" four-course meal from James Beard Award winners Tony Mantuano (Spiaggia) and Michael Tusk (Cotogna); head here for the entire schedule of events and tickets.

FINANCIAL DISTRICT Americano is starting a Tuesday night DJ series on its outdoor patio from 5 p.m.- 8 p.m. through October with DJ Nicky Decrypto kicking things off this Tuesday, September 8. Executive chef Joshua Perez will also be on patio grilling bites like bruschetta, pork belly and merguez sausage.
