After a mysterious closure last September, the Mission's Sunflower Vietnamese has quietly reopened for business, a tipster tells us. It's the same menu and same people, but with a fresh coat of paint, and though Mission Local reports employees don't even know what caused the year-long blackout, an employee told us it was for a remodel. For now, just know it's open (as well as its sister spot in Potrero Hill), but only the 16th Street entrance has reopened of the formerly dual-entrance restaurant (straddling the corner of 16th and Valencia). Before closing, Sunflower was a Mission favorite for its curt service and affordable versions of garlic noodles, imperial rolls and shaken beef.
