Ms. Juanita More has restaurant plans
Drag queen Juanita More is trying to open a restaurant in Mid-Market, called Compton’s. It would be an LGTBQ space that pays tribute to Gene Compton's Cafeteria, which was located a block away and the site of a transgender riot in 1966. More is planning American diner food, as well as a stage for performances. Hoodline reports that the project is pending permitting approval.

Sad news for line-waiters at Mama’s on Washington Square: The hot breakfast spot has thrown in the towel on its Vallejo Street spinoff. What killed the project? The impossibility of dealing with SF’s permitting office. Owners are looking for alternate potential locations, Inside Scoop reports.

DoorDash now delivers Whole Foods prepared foods
Deliver app DoorDash has partnered with Whole Foods to deliver prepared meals on demand. For now it’s launching in the Bay Area, New York City, and Austin.
