Thad Vogler, the owner of Bar Agricole and Trou Normand, has been one busy guy lately. He recently replaced the head chef at Bar Agricole, he’s relaunching brunch at the same time, he is expanding his charcuterie operations, and — the latest and most exciting news — he is opening a rum bar at 3266 24th St.
The liquor license application lists the name as Obispo (which means “bishop” in Spanish), and indicates it will serve food on top of what is sure to be a lengthy rum selection. Vogler doesn’t anticipate it opening until the spring, with more details to come soon.
In the meantime, brunch is coming back to Bar Agricole, starting this Sunday and continuing on Sundays thereafter. The menu, from recent new chef Seth Stowaway (former chef de cuisine) includes dishes like ricotta doughnuts with quince marmalade and fried eggs with dungeness crab, farro, radicchio, meyer lemon, and cilantro.
You can see the brunch menu in full below, and stay tuned for more details on Obispo.
