The potential for incredibly scented food being on your next flight from San Francisco International Airport just went way up. That’s because a San Francisco Giants-themed restaurant is coming to Terminal 3 (the United terminal), bringing crazy crab sandwiches and Gilroy garlic fries along with it.

The Giants have partnered with airport restaurateur Tastes on the Fly (Napa Farms Market, Lark Creek Grill) to open San Francisco Giants Clubhouse, the first restaurant collaboration for the Giants outside AT&T Park. Chef Charlie Ayers (who has worked for both Google and the Grateful Dead) is bringing all the AT&T Park favorites (hence the crab and fries), along with new, healthier items.

BCV Architects is designing the space, which will have an entire wraparound digital wall with sports, news, movies, and more on full display. Three replica World Series trophies will also be in a Giants memorabilia exhibit at the entrance.

In recent years, SFO has made a pretty concerted effort to bring local favorite food into the airport, with openings of Koi Palace, Napa Farms Market, Three Twins Ice Cream, and more.

Construction for the San Francisco Giants Clubhouse starts this spring for a late 2017 opening. Stay tuned for more.
