Restaurateur Adriano Paganini just keeps chugging along, opening restaurants at a breakneck pace. Flores is the latest addition to his 20-plus restaurant empire, which includes Beretta, Delarosa, Super Duper Burger, Lolinda, The Bird, and quite a few more. Now open in Cow Hollow, Flores features traditional Mexican food, distilled through Lolinda executive chef Alejandro Morgan’s point of view.
Morgan, along with Luis Flores (chef/partner at Uno Dos Tacos), created a menu that’s focused on fun and top-notch, fresh tortillas. Dishes include mole negro poblano, duck confit enchiladas, and citrus-roasted pork shoulder carnitas. You can see the menu in full here. Cocktails (including margaritas), mezcals, and tequilas are on offer, as well.
As for the space, it’s a lot of wood, concrete, and geometric shapes revealed in tiling, murals, furniture, and more. Flores is open Monday through Wednesday from 5 p.m. to 11 p.m. and Thursday through Saturday from 5 p.m. to 12 a.m.
