As restaurants gear up for Valentine's Day (AKA the worst dining out night of the year), special menus are being prepared, prices are being jacked up and all sorts of stereotype flags are flagrantly flying. Brasserie S&P in the Loews Regency Hotel is boldly entering that mix with an extra-special offer this year: his-and-hers menus (in full below).
Because we women are grossed out by bloody steak. And guys, lobster is just too damn dainty, amiright? So it's lucky that Brasserie S&P caters to the finicky natures of each gender with menus that offer women beet-poached (AKA pink) scallops with chocolate, while the dudes get theirs au naturale with bacon. Oh, and for all you non-hetero couples? No menus for you, Glen Coco.
Update, 2:56 p.m.: Brasserie S&P has updated the menus to be called "Yours" and "Mine" instead. A representative told Eater that, "if any guest requests to switch a course [it] will be welcomed." That's one small step for gender equality, one giant leap for Brasserie S&P.
