Asian and Mexican Restaurants On the Rise in SF; Ramen Shop Adds Breakfast

SAN FRANCISCO — A study on restaurant growth in San Francisco found that the pace of Asian restaurant growth has risen from 1 percent in 2013 to 13.5 percent in 2015. Same for Mexican restaurant growth, which went from 8.6 percent in 2013 to 14.1 percent in 2015. Dessert shops also sped up, with French restaurants and vegan/vegetarian spots slowing down. Here's what to expect: Causwells (baby yam, quinoa and kale hash with mixed greens, sliced egg whites and chicken, $12), The Dorian (egg white soft scramble with hen of the woods mushrooms, goat cheese and cipollini onion, $14) and Palm House (egg white frittata with roasted winter vegetables, arugula and coconut-maple vinaigrette, $12).
