Though the winter be but mild in the Bay Area, it's still a relief to know that spring is just around the corner. Longer days, sunny skies and outdoor eating opportunities await as Off the Grid: Fort Mason announces it's lineup, opening for a sixth season on March 4.
This year includes both food trucks and tented vendors, in order to give new businesses without the capital for a truck the chance for success. Also of note is the addition of a private, solar-powered event space named Cubert. Anyone can book the 100-square-feet of covered dining space, that includes cocktail tables, seats for up to 20 people and artfully strung hipster lights. Given the nature of the popular festival, private real estate will be a hot ticket, so book ahead. And, keep an eye out for some "new digital products," one of which might allow line-cutting for special menu items.
The snack festival's 31 food vendors (and three bars) will set up shop every Friday (starting March 4) through the end of October, from 5:00 p.m.- 10:00 p.m. There'll be a live DJ from 5:00 p.m.-7 p.m. and live music from 8:00 p.m.-10:00 p.m. each Friday, as well.
This year's lineup includes some newbies, as well as returning champions. See below for the full lineup of the enormous picnic.
