Though its former tenant, Rickybobby, closed in January, 400 Haight St. already has a new restaurant on the way. Come April, The Lodge on Haight will take its place, at the corner of Webster and Haight. The new spot comes from Matt Nudelman, former chef of Lower Haight's Greenburger's (which closed May 2014), and Tim Felkner (Vigilante Hospitality).
Luckily for the neighborhood, which is still in mourning for Rickybobby's comfort food offerings, Hoodline reports that The Lodge has plans to serve "healthy and comfort food classics," like green chile and turkey stew, a vegan sloppy joe and Buffalo mac and cheese. Hopefully there'll also be beer and wine, once the liquor license is approved. It'll likely be a full-service affair as well, open seven days a week for dinner, Sunday brunch and eventually lunch; it's currently slated to open in early April. Stay tuned for more details.
