Waxman's, San Francisco's first restaurant from Bay Area native Jonathan Waxman, opens tonight in Ghirardelli Square. The concept, which features both a restaurant and café, is all about the chef's signature Italian and Mediterranean cuisine, with a Northern California influence. The restaurant offers a more upscale experience, while the café is geared towards the fast-casual crowd (and tourists) that the restaurateur hopes to lure back to the area.

Check out the restaurant's menu below, which is overflowing with the Bay Area's best springtime offerings, including a selection of handmade pastas, grilled and wood oven roasted meats, and Waxman's signature JW roasted chicken with salsa verde.

Hours of operation will be 5 p.m.- 10 p.m., Sunday- Wednesday and 5 p.m.- 11 p.m., Thursday- Saturday; the bar opens at 4 p.m. every day.
