Divisadero residents hit the gold mine this year with Souvla’s second location, the new Namu Gaji concept, Sightglass Coffee’s third location, Tsk/tsk’s impending switch to Horsefeather and more — and now, add Taiwanese shaved snow to the list. Set to open this summer is Powder, a snow company from owners David Chung and Mimi Hanley that is taking over 260 Divisadero St. The concept — filtered water and Three Twins dairy ice flavored with mango, Vietnamese coffee, black sesame and more and shaved to resemble freshly-fallen snow — is pretty new to the city. There are a few fringe places that offer the frozen treat, but this will be the first shop solely dedicated to it.

While the shop doesn’t open until the summer, Powder will be at this season of Off the Grid’s Presidio Picnic starting Sunday, April 3 through fall.
