Mac Daddy, the Mac and Cheese Restaurant SF Didn't Know It Needed, to Open in Potrero Hill

Because why not?

In what seems like a "throw a bunch of ideas at a wall to see which sticks" move, Dat Spot in Potrero Hill is turning into a mac-and-cheese restaurant. Keep up: first, owner Jocelyn Bulow shut down Chez Papa Bistrot and moved Chez Maman into that space in Hayes Valley. Then, he opened Dat Spot in the old Chez Maman space in Potrero Hill with American comfort food classics from chef Brandon Peacock (Lungomare). But, despite being well-reviewed, Bulow closed Dat Spot after just five months. Got that?

Now, Bulow is trying again with Mac Daddy, which will have a mac and cheese-focused menu from Peacock. There are 12 variations on the menu (all of which can be made gluten-free, because, SF), plus salads, soups, sides and entrees — you can see the menu in full below. Mac Daddy will open Monday, May 2 every day from 11:30 a.m. to 10 p.m.
