There is an endless number of food and drink events in the Bay Area, but some rise above the rest. Like when The Bon Vivants, Imbibe and Eat Drink SF team up to put on an outdoor event with unlimited pork dishes and punch drinks. It’s the first annual Pig & Punch fundraiser, which has happened in Austin, Miami, New Orleans, New York City and Portland, but The Bon Vivants (Trick Dog, Cafe du Nord) are bringing it home this year.
On Sunday, May 22 at the SoMa StrEat Food Park from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m., top area chefs and bartenders will create all-you-can-eat pork dishes and tons of punch. We’re talking Ravi Kapur (Liholiho Yacht Club), Thomas McNaughton (flour + water, Central Kitchen, Aatxe, Café du Nord, Salumeria), Justin Simoneaux (Boxing Room), Craig Stoll (Delfina, Pizzeria Delfina, Locanda), Joey Elenterio (Cadence) and Scott Baird (The Bon Vivants) with the food. The Bon Vivants will of course be in charge of the cocktails, served out of barrels.
There will also be live music from local DJ Dojah and The Jazz Mafia. Proceeds support KIPP Bay Area Schools, whose mission is to build leaders through academic excellence and civic responsibility. Get tickets here.
