The Lodge Opens in the Haight to Locals' Delight

It replaces Rickybobby as the new neighborhood joint

Rickybobby mourners can shed their black clothing as there’s a new neighborhood spot to take its place. Now open, The Lodge neatly fills the role as go-to with its casual, affordable counter-service menu of American "healthy and comfort food classics" that chef Matt Nudelman (Greenburger) created to please all. Dishes like an array of burgers, salads, fried chicken and more are on offer (see the full menu here), and the most expensive of them all (curry lamb shank) is just $18, with most falling around $12.

Opening night saw lots of neighborhood locals, Nudelman told Eater. "A lot of old Greenburger customers came by," he said. "Pretty much most of the people who came by are people who live in the neighborhood." Which is just what he and partner Timothy Felkner (Oro, Zero Zero) intended. The Lodge is open Monday through Thursday from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m., Friday and Saturday from 5 p.m to 12 a.m. and Sunday from 11:30 a.m. to 9 p.m.
