Petite Deli Transforms Into Picnic Provider for Dylan's Tours

Everything's taken care of, even the pedaling

Petite Picnic

When Dylan's Tours bought up the quaint sandwich shop Petite Deli a few doors down from its storefront on Columbus Avenue last year, it seemed like an unusual business move for the boutique North Beach bike and bus tour company. A couple months later and it all makes sense: Petite Deli is now Petite Deli & Picnic — a quick service sandwich spot that will also pack you a pre-made picnic for your bike trip around the bay.

Co-owner Dylan David explained that the acquisition allows them to expand the tour business and provide "everything you need to spend an afternoon in San Francisco like a local." The new combination deli/tour company claims to be San Francisco's first all-inclusive picnic provider. With a fleet of electric bikes, even the pedaling is taken care of.

Starting at $75, Dylan's Tours will outfit tourists for a quaint day out on the town with an all-day e-bike rental, a picnic blanket and a boxed lunch that includes a petite sandwich from the deli menu, salad, fresh fruit, chocolate truffles and a bottle of sparking mineral water for that refreshing continental feel. An upgrade to the $85 "Petite Classic" gets an electric bike along with a sharable cheese and charcuterie plate for two. Naturally, Dylan and co. already have some suggestions of where to take your goodies.
