Washington, D.C.-based Sweetgreen will open its second Bay Area location next week when the "seasonal fast food" chain throws open the doors on Ramona Street, just off the main drag of University Avenue in Palo Alto. This store has 2,258 square feet with 38 seats for techies looking for some lunch.
Like the recently arrived Berkeley location, the Palo Alto Sweetgreen will feature organic, farm-focused produce in the form of seasonal salad and grain bowls. In the spirit of transparency all the produce sources are listed right on the menu and there's an Ask Me Anything email address where diners can write in to ask for more information on any of the dishes.

Starting next Tuesday, May 17th, the new location will be open daily from 10:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. To celebrate the grand opening, the shop will be donating 100 percent of its proceeds to Collective Roots, a local non-profit working to create a healthier, sustainable communities.
