It’s been 15 years of Mourad Lahlou’s exceptional Moroccan food at Aziza over in the Outer Richmond, which Lahlou thinks is time enough for its current iteration. Starting Sunday, May 22, Lahlou is closing Aziza to update the space, which he said is "long overdue." The renovations will last for two months, at which time the new-and-improved Aziza will open — one can only hope Aziza 2.0 will still include Lahlou’s famous duck basteeya. If you need your Moroccan fix in the meantime, head to Mourad, Lahlou’s big and beautiful spinoff in SoMa.
