MISSION — Tartine Manufactory is now open, revealing a light-filled temple of bread, creativity, and the pursuit of craftmanship. The ambitious project inhabits a 5,000-square-foot space adjacent to the Heath Ceramics factory and showroom, and coffee, breakfast, lunch, dinner, plus a bar, a bakery, and an ice cream shop. NOB HILL — After parting ways with Square Meals in December, Batter Bakery has moved from Polk Street to 1517 Pine St., with all the BB favorites (pastries, cookies, doughs, etc.), plus an expanded cafe menu with breakfast and lunch options like quiche, breakfast quinoa, and a biscuit sandwich.
