Promising to ruin productive afternoons all across the Financial District, a daytime version of the Michael Bauer-approved, three-star menu at Leo's Oyster Bar is available for lunch starting today.

With that Dorothy Draper-meets-Don Draper vibe, the new lunch menu is fittingly anchored by Mr. Nicholas' Liquid Lunch — a gin or vodka Martini with a side of pickled veggies. If those veggies don't do the trick, the Louie salads and the Tuna carpaccio with tea leaf salad that Bauer raved about probably will.

For a more substantial (but no less indulgent) lunch, the entrées have been swapped out in favor of a sandwich lineup that includes a $32 lobster roll with cultured Uni butter or a "Sloppy Leo" made with braised short ribs, Gruyère and red wine bone marrow jus. There's also meal-sized "club" sandwich version of the dainty rock shrimp toasts with bacon, avocado and lemon aioli.

For those occasions when the expense account is burning a hole in your wallet, the raw bar and its massive seafood platters, hot oysters and caviar selections are available all day. The rest of the lunch menu is available weekdays 11 a.m. - 2:30 p.m., at which point you'll inevitably have to slosh your way back to your desk.
