See Corridor, a Quick Stop for Comfort Food in Mid-Market

Counter-service with flair

Corridor is now open Mid-Market, offering a deviation from traditional dining with a hybrid counter-service style, alongside a menu of comfort classics.

From Hi Neighbor Restaurant Group (Trestle, Stones Throw, Fat Angel) and chef/partner Jason Halverson, the food runs the gamut from soups and salads to "square meals," featuring entrees like roast chicken with choice of sides. (Check out the full menu here.) Jason Kirmse (Hi Neighbor) has put together a list of approachable beer, wine and cocktails; LA's LAMILL coffee is featured.

The 70-seat restaurant is located in the swanky 100 Van Ness building, right next door to Corridor Café, the grab-and-go coffee shop that opened in March. Open for walk-ins and reservations, the service style is especially adapted to address San Francisco's staffing shortage. Here's how it works: Diners will be greeted by a hostess, place an order at the counter and then take a seat to await their food. After that, servers will be on hand to help order more, and deliver food. Additionally, there will also be ten tables of seating on the mezzanine for full-service, and private dining.

Corridor will be open seven days per week— 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. on weekdays and 3 p.m to 11 p.m. on weekends. Happy hour will go from 3 p.m.-6 p.m. every day, with wines by the glass, draft beer, and cocktails available at $5 each.
