Scotland Yard has been open in the Marina for a year now, serving its bonkers burger and other pub-focused Californian fare, but it’s calling it quits on the kitchen side. As of now, the space is beer and wine only. Executive chef Jason Raffin, who created the burger that swept the city, left a few months ago and is currently a free agent.
After Raffin’s departure, owner Brian Cassanego made the decision to switch the space over to drinks-only and only open the doors Thursday through Sunday. The changeover was swift, as tipster Kim was sent a message that her reservation this week was canceled with this message: “Hello we are sorry to inform you that Scotland Yard is closing down. We are still open for drinks as a wine bar Thursday through Sunday, but will not be offering food. We apologize for the inconvenience.”
