OAKLAND Umami Mart is turning four this year, and to celebrate, it’s throwing a Matsuri festival on Saturday, August 13 from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m. with Coedo beers on tap, live music, and $5 bites from Abura-ya, FOB Kitchen, Ramen Shop, Casa de Kei, and B-Dama. It all goes down in the parking lot behind the shop, which will be open for business as usual. [EaterWire]

EMBARCADERO — The Tacolicious guest chef series at the Ferry Building is still going strong, with Popsons chef Adam Rosenblum stopping by this Thursday, August 11 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. He’s making a crunchy chili cheeseburger taco. [EaterWire]
