Oh San Franciscans, you lovers of lines, today’s your lucky day. The Halal Guys has opened its doors in the Tenderloin, and hungry halal fans were lining up around the block before it even opened at 10 a.m. (always a great time for a hefty serving of chicken and rice).
Like the cart before it, and other newly opened brick-and-mortars the menu is short and simple: chicken, beef gyro, a combo of chicken and beef, or falafel as a sandwich ($7.99), or platter ($8.99 for small, $9.99 for large), plus hummus, baba ghanouj, and fries.
The new restaurant is spacious, and gleaming with the Guys’ signature red and yellow color theme. Once the daytime line subsides, prepare for the late night crowd to queue up, as Halal Guys is one of the latest food options in SF— it will be open from 10 a.m. til 4 a.m. Thursday through Saturday and 2 a.m. Sunday through Wednesday.
