Dim sum, dab a little
Harvest, a chic, boutique medical marijuana dispensary on Geary at 12th Avenue in the Inner Richmond, is one of a handful of SF dispensaries to offer on-site vaping (for patients only) in its own lounge area. And twice a month, it offers a deal that’s almost too good to be true: Complimentary dabs, or concentrated vape rips, and free dumplings and pork buns from rotating nearby dim sum houses in order to address any ensuing munchies symptoms. Harvest isn’t just blowing smoke: The deal is real, SF Weekly confirms, and the next Dim Sum and Dabs event occurs on Wednesday, November 29.
Dumpling Time delivers
For those who wish to achieve similar results without leaving the house, as of today, Dumpling Time delivers through Caviar. The Design District dumpling-and-drinking den from the owners of nearby Michelin-starred Omakase opened this spring and has been a hot ticket ever since, with no reservations and a sometimes long wait — which can now be bypassed.
Bini’s Kitchen moving to larger SoMa Location
FiDi takeout spot Bini’s Kitchen, known for owner Binita Pradhan’s momos, or Nepalese dumpling, is moving into a larger location at Sixth and Howard Streets. The new space will accommodate a 30-seat dining room, shelves for to-go items, and a larger kitchen to serve as a hub for the business in general including catering and delivery.
Winter Walk returns to Union Square
Food truck runners Off the Grid and the Union Square Business Improvement District are once again teaming up to close Stockton Street to cars between Ellis and Geary, creating a seasonal pedestrian pop-up plaza called Winter Walk. Rotating daily trucks on site will include Johnny Doughnuts, Del Popolo, and RoliRoti, and the SPCA will have holiday windows filled with puppies and kittens to entertain (and adopt). Winter Walk runs from Saturday November 25 through December 31, 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. daily.
