It has its own veggie burger counter

The first 365 by Whole Foods Market location in the Bay Area opens tomorrow, December 6th, in Concord. It’s a more economical version of the now Amazon-owned Whole Foods Market, and after that acquisition, it comes equipped with an Amazon locker delivery area right in the store.

The new 365 market is located in Concord’s freshly-opened Veranda shopping center, previously a Chevron campus, at 2085 Diamond Boulevard. Next on the Whole Foods agenda for the Bay Area: A 365 location in Temescal at 5110 Telegraph Avenue, and then one in San Francisco at 1600 Jackson on Russian Hill. A 365 Market is also bound for South Lake Tahoe at 3600 Lake Tahoe Boulevard.

The smaller, cheaper 365 store from Whole Foods traffics primarily in Whole Foods’ house label 365 items, which make up roughly 20 to 30 percent of the products on its shelves. It comes to Concord without a meat or fish counter and lacks frills like a buffet, but it does include two in-store vendors: Urban Remedy, the Mill Valley-based juice and clean eating shop, and Next Level Burger, a branch of an expanding veggie burger chain founded in Bend, Oregon.

Starting tomorrow, 365 by Whole Foods will be open in Concord from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. daily.
