After three years in Noe Valley, La Nebbia is closing. The casual pizzeria, from the owners of La Ciccia around the corner, has been a staple in the neighborhood since it opened for its well-priced and unpretentious Italian fare.
Now Massimiliano Conti and Lorella Degan have decided to take a step back and focus solely on La Ciccia, their beloved, ten-year-old Sardinian spot also in Noe Valley. Conti told Inside Scoop they want to be able to give more time to not only La Ciccia, but also themselves. “We’ll enjoy life a little more, take a little time for ourselves instead of working so much,” he said.
There’s already a buyer interested in the La Nebbia space, and Conti hints that it’s from someone who’s already established in the San Francisco scene. He’s remaining mum on the identity for now, as the deal is not final. Stay tuned for more, and in the meantime, if you’d like to visit La Nebbia one last time, you can head there before its final night on Saturday, February 4.
