It’s opening a location in Larkspur

Wise Sons Deli continues its steady growth with the announcement of a location in Marin. The Jewish deli will set up shop in the tony Marin Country Mart, an outdoor shopping complex with yoga studios, SoulCycle, and upscale fast casual restaurants like Bel Campo and Rustic Bakery.

Following a teaser post on Instagram, it has been confirmed that bagels are now in the mix, following Wise Sons’ successful nine month stint at the farmer’s market that sets up shop at the Mart every weekend. Clearly the people of Marin are hungry for bagels, and partners Evan Bloom and Leo Beckerman are happy to provide them.

Guess where we are opening up our next bagel shop?!?!? #comingsoon #spring2017

The new shop is the fourth outpost for the deli, which also has locations in the Mission, the Fillmore District, and at The Contemporary Jewish Museum. Though smaller than its other locations, the new Wise Sons will operate similarly to the Fillmore shop, with a focus on to-go items, and menu of bagel sandwiches. All production will still take place at the company’s commissary kitchen in SF, which will pose a logistical challenge without much wiggle room— if the delivery truck doesn’t make the 12-mile jaunt to Marin in time, customers could be left hanging without bagels. “We’re going to be treating ourselves like a vendor, “ Bloom told Inside Scoop.

Though Bloom said there’s nothing else in the works, you never know what he and partner Beckerman might have up their sleeves. Stay tuned for an opening date, with a projected timeline of mid-April.
