Hello Kitty rolls back into town

The cute overload Hello Kitty Café truck will return to San Francisco’s Japantown for this year’s Northern California Cherry Blossom Festival. Catch Hello Kitty and her rainbow macarons on Post Street next weekend, Saturday April 8th and Sunday April 9th from 10 a.m. - 5 p.m.

A new cafe for Geary and Masonic

Popular SoMa café and crepe joint Mo’z Cafe will take over the vacant space left behind by The Corner Store at Geary and Masonic, Hoodline reports. Expect breakfast and lunch options like bagels, pancakes and benedicts plus a bigger dinner menu than the SoMa location.

Julie’s Coffee & Tea Garden arrives in Oakland

Alameda-based Julie’s Coffee & Tea Garden just opened a new café in downtown Oakland, Hoodline reports. In addition to the coffee and tea, the new space adjacent to Frank Ogawa Plaza will offer wine, draft beer, plus a full kitchen for breakfast, lunch and weekend brunches.

For April Fool’s, Craftsman and Wolves has secretly removed the egg from four of its immensely instagrammable the Rebel Within muffins, Tablehopper reports. If you’re one of the lucky four to get an eggless Rebel, you’ll win a free Rebel Within every month for the next year.
