Feast on Spam, Falafel, and Curried Goat at This Year’s Phono Del Sol Festival

Ten food trucks are bringing their best snacks

Phono del Sol

One of the perks of living in San Francisco is Phono del Sol, a super low-key, one-day music festival in Potrero del Sol park on Saturday, June 17. And unlike most SF perks, this event is an affordably priced one at $29, with a portion of proceeds going to SF Recreation and Parks Department.

The music lineup (which includes local bands like Thee Oh Sees) was announced in March; now it’s time to reveal what attendees will be feasting on during their day of recreation. Ten food vendors are on deck for this year’s festivities, plus cocktails, wine and beer. Check it out below:

GAGA’S ROLLIN DINER
Authentic Philly steaks, snow crab sandwiches, homemade clam chowder and more

SCOTCH BONNET
Jamaican specialties, including jerk chicken and pork, and curried goat

WAFFLE ROOST

Buttermilk fried chicken with or without waffles, and Belgian-style waffles in various flavors

KABOB TROLLEY
Cheesesteaks and gyro meats in wraps, on salads, or smothering fries

SAJJ STREET EATS
Falafel, shawarma, and more quick Mediterranean fare

BOBCHA
Korean flavors and favorites like bulgogi in burger form, tacos, and nachos, as well as bibimbap

CURRY UP NOW
Tikka masala burritos, deconstructed samosas, and sexy fries, just like at their brick-and-mortar locations

HUMPHRY SLOCOMBE
Creative ice cream flavors and combos like Secret Breakfast with bourbon and corn flakes, and Matchadoodle, with matcha green tea and snickerdoodles.

MOZZERIA
Neapolitan pizzas cooked to order

LINDA’S CATERING
Japanese comfort food like ramen, kazu curry, sushi burritos, and bento boxes

General Admission and VIP tickets are available for purchase online ; VIP passes are $60 and include dedicated VIP bar lines, and 20% off of all drinks at the bar. Kids under five are free.
