Brunch at The Commissary
What: The Commissary is cooking up a Mother’s Day brunch of deviled farm eggs with avocado mousse and saffron caviar, French toast with strawberry compote, and patatas bravas with buttermilk aioli. Mother’s Day at Arguello
What: Enjoy a Mexican-inspired brunch at Arguello, where coloring placemats and blank Mother’s Day cards will be available to keep the kids occupied. What: Sure, it isn’t exactly a brunch reservation, but entrepreneurial nonprofit La Cocina’s Mother’s Day gift box is filled with delicious treats that make for a pleasing breakfast in bed. It’s filled with Sabores de Sur alfajores, Neo Cocoa chocolate, Kika’s cookies, and Clairesquares salted caramel bites.

Foreign Cinema Brunch
What: Bask in the sunlight on Foreign Cinema’s roomy patio and enjoy a three-course meal filled with seasonal-inspired options. Pair your celebrations with a glass of Delamotte Brut champagne if you’re feeling extra festive.

Mother’s Day Brunch on a Boat

What: Leo’s Oyster Bar (568 Sacramento St., SF) is staying open on Sunday to present a seafood-filled menu in honor of Mother’s Day. Start your meal with appetizers like rock shrimp toast and caviar bites with crème fraiche and enjoy entrees like king crab, crab and lobster cake Benedicts, and warm buttered lobster rolls.

August 1 Five’s First Brunch
What: Celebrated newcomer August 1 Five is debuting brunch in honor of Mother’s Day. The menu blends Indian recipes with traditional American brunch staples and features dishes like spiced fried chicken with dosa waffles and a Mumbai omelet with onion, tomato, chili, and cilantro. There’s also a brunch-worthy cocktail menu that’s a twist on typical American offerings like the orange Julius-inspired “Orange Whip” with toasted coconut milk, orange zest, and Grand Marnier.

What: For Mother’s Day, Perbacco (230 California St., SF) will send over a complimentary glass of champagne for your guest of honor and Chef Staffan Terje will be cooking up a few festive additions to Perbacco’s usual menu.

Buffet Brunch at Top of the Mark
What: Top of the Mark offers a view overlooking all of San Francisco and for Mother’s Day, there will be live piano music, a breakfast buffet which includes an omelette an waffle station as well as fresh oysters, charcuterie plates, and a raffle to win 250,000 points from InterContinental Hotels Group.

R.T.B. Fillmore Mother’s Day Canapés
What: R.T.B., chef Rodney Wages’ eclectic pop-up is hosting a Mother’s Day meal which includes carafes of mimosas, an a la carte food menu, and canapés at Dabba.

Movies and Munching at Finn Town
What: Finn’s Town Mother’s Day offerings will please movie buffs and mothers alike: the Castro newcomer will be showing several maternally-themed films like Mommie Dearest, Mrs. Doubtfire, and Serial Mom during a meal of speciality dishes including a Mother’s Day quiche. The tavern will also be mixing up a few special occasion cocktails like the “Red Hot Momma” (vodka, tomato, lemon, balsamic vinegar, and pickled beet juice) and the “Caged Bird” (rye whiskey, lime, pineapple, and Campari).
