In the world of fine dining, Dominique Crenn is a force. Her two-Michelin-starred restaurant Atelier Crenn, and casual offshoot Petit Crenn continue to thrive, while Bar Crenn will open in February serving classics from masters of French cuisine. She’s also a fierce proponent of female chefs in the industry, and is now launching a Women in Food dinner series with online restaurant booking company Resy.

A little background: The French chef was named World’s Best Female Chef by San Pellegrino’s World’s 50 Best Restaurants list in 2016, an honor that resulted in a (deserved) backlash against the need to separate female talent from male. She later called out the organization in an Instagram post for touting more men than women in its rankings. “I thought we all got the memo that women are 50 percent of the population. Oh wait... 54 percent,” Crenn wrote. “Your leadership skills are disappointing,” she continued. “You are not inspiring and I hope you learn from this, and show up for all of us. Please evolve and do the right thing.”

Now Crenn is doing her own thing, in good company. The chef will host 12 celebrated female chefs for six dinners at her intimate Hayes Valley restaurant Petit Crenn, beginning March 27. Each will be multiple courses for $250 per person, accompanied by Ketel One cocktails and notable SF female mixologists. Ticket sales begin Friday, February 2 and are guaranteed to sell out, so don’t screw this up.
