Kanye “Ye” West and Mark “Zuck” Zuckerberg appear to be cutting loose together after some difficult weeks for them both. The duo hit up an izakaya karaoke club in SF, if a blurry picture tweeted out by West is to be believed. Facebook PR has not positively identified Zuckeberg in the image, and has a bigger crisis to manage as the company’s latest scandal unfolds.
Easier to identify is the location of the rendezvous: Based on photographic evidence, it’s YamaSho, a restaurant, sushi bar, and private karaoke room lounge in San Francisco at 1161 Post Street (at Van Ness). There, rooms are named for areas of Japan, and the Kyushu room is visible in the background of West’s tweet. Eater SF has reached out to YamaSho for confirmation and comment.
Known for sure: Their song choice, which was “I want it that way” by the Backstreet Boys.

According to a tip, Kanye dined elsewhere in San Francisco as recently as last week. He, wife Kim Kardashian, and daughter North were at hotel restaurant Rambler for breakfast, where they were filming “Keeping Up with the Kardashians.”
West’s San Francisco appearance, though surreal, would hardly be his least comprehensible move of late. The artist visited the White House this month in a showing of support for Donald Trump, but has since declared a desire to withdraw from the political sphere. Zuckerberg wants it that way, too.
