Underdogs Too, the latest member in a mini-chain from owner Doug Marschke (Underdogs, The Taco Shop at Underdogs, Tacko) has arrived at 3600 Taraval in the former Bashful Bull Too space. That’s cause for joy among Parkside dwellers — Marschke himself resides in the outer-lying neighborhood — who are in need of tacos, quesadillas, wings, and sports TV watching.

Bashful Bull Too put in nearly 30 years at its corner of 46th and Taraval, leaving a dining hole in the neighborhood when it left. Underdogs Too, nodding in name to its predecessor, hopes to similarly establish itself with neighbors.

“We just did a soft opening to see how the neighborhood would react,” says general manager El Sy, “and they’re welcoming us with open arms.”

The menu at Underdogs Too is along the lines as the one at the Taco Shop at Underdogs (rather than the original, occasionally open Underdogs, which serves hot dogs). Some additions in the brunch department are to be found, too, like chilaquiles. There’s also beer and wine plus a full bar, of which customers can avail themselves with a whole host of spiked coffee drinks: Irish (coffee with Jameson), Russian (coffee with Smirnoff and Kahlúa), Italian (with Amaretto di Saronno), and so on.

Hours are 11:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. Monday, 11:30 a.m. to 11 p.m. Tuesday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 11 p.m. Saturday, and 9 a.m. to 10 p.m. Sunday.
