Gott’s Biggest Ever Burger Spot is Open in Marin County

And a rosemary fried chicken spot is opening in the Emeryville Public Market

Gott’s opens in Greenbrae

Gott’s Roadside is open today for Niman ranch burgers on Panorama buns in the Bon Air Center of Greenbrae. Northern California’s answer to Shake Shack that’s not exactly that because it actually opened first, got started in St. Helena in 1999, where brothers Joel and Duncan Gott opened their first roadside restaurant with some atypical roadside fare, like ahi poke tacos. They’ve now expanded to seven locations, including the new Marin County spot, which is is their largest yet. Daily hours are 10:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.

Minnie Bell’s moves into Emeryville’s Public Market

Minnie Bell’s Soul Food Movement will take over the Emervyille Public Market space left vacant by Nyum Bai, which headed to its own dedicated space in Fruitvale. SF chef Fernay McPherson, who has run Minnie’s as a pop-up so far, is known for brining her fried chicken in hot sauce, buttermilk, and fresh rosemary for 24 hours before dredging it in flour and frying it to order along with stalks of rosemary. McPherson, whose eventual goal is a full-time restaurant space in her native Fillmore district, will open in Emeryville on March 15.

Weekday lunch at Copper Spoon

Oakland’s Copper Spoon (4031 Broadway) is kicking off lunch service with items like a “sassy salmon melt” (dill, caper, cream cheese, red onion, and Monterey Jack cheese) and kale pesto salad from chef Andre Hall. They’ll also provide a special lunch deal for hospital employees from neighboring Kaiser — $17 for half of two limited menu items, plus a happy hour drink or a daily health tonic.

4505 expands East Bay service, adds UberEats

Continuing to heat up their service in the East Bay ahead of their coming Laurel District restaurant, 4505 Burgers and BBQ is adding another delivery option for East Bay diners. in addition to their existing dinner delivery on Wednesday to Sunday with Caviar and Postmates, they’re adding UberEats delivery, with some special group ordering options. Stay tuned for more on their coming space at 3506 MacArthur in the former Glenn’s Hot Dogs space
