Acclaimed chef Thomas Keller appears to be opening a new restaurant in Napa, posting a job listing for a chef de cuisine who “specializes in Mexican” cooking for a “new restaurant concept.” The listing was posted today through the website for Thomas Keller’s restaurant group, a collection of businesses that includes his three Michelin star French Laundry, three star Per Se, one star Bouchon, Bouchon Bakery, and Ad Hoc.
Eater SF reached out to the Thomas Keller Restaurant Group, who had no details to share on the project.
Keller’s job listing, which also appears on Craigslist, seeks a chef with more than five years of experience, who will “play a vital part in our start up operations including menu/concept development, building a competent and highly performing team, and assist[ing] in the development of the overall culinary support systems.”
The French laundry recently emerged from a $10 million renovation, and Keller announced his ambitions to open a small hotel on the property there. In December, the chef closed his Los Angeles branch of Bouchon, Bouchon Beverly Hills.
Stay tuned for details on whatever else Keller is cooking up.
