Kendrick Lamar Dines at Brenda’s French Soul Food Ahead of Oakland Show

Pulitzer Prize winner Kendrick Lamar was seen fueling up in San Francisco today ahead of his Oakland concert at Oracle Arena tomorrow: He and a group dined at Brenda’s French Soul Food, where he even humbled owner Brenda Buenviaje, posing for a photo with the chef. The cameo is likely to add to the already long line for brunch at Brenda’s, a popular destination for crawfish beignets and other delicacies.

Eater SF has reached out to Brenda’s for more info on the celebrity diner — according to the Chronicle, however, Lamar just ordered a three-egg white omelette, which is frankly disappointing. Keep an eye out for Lamar, who was perhaps saving his appetite for a full dinner at Brenda’s Meat and Three, chef Buenviaje’s diner-style restaurant on Divisadero.
