What do you get the street that seems to have it all? A branch of Loving Cup, the blended-to-order frozen yogurt shop that’s expanding with the help of investment from La Boulangerie. The new location, the chain’s sixth, will be at 608 Divisadero Street (between Hayes and Grove) and could reportedly open as soon as the end of the month.

With plastic straws on the way out, paper straws find a market

A purveyor of popular paper straws, Aardvark, has found itself with a 5,000 percent increase in orders over the last two years, the Chronicle reports. The demand is hard for the company to keep up with, and it’s just one indicator of changing habits ahead of proposed plastic straw bans.

Albany onigiri restaurant expands to Rockridge

Albany’s Oori Rice Triangles has brought its onigiri business to Rockridge. That’s now serving seaweed-wrapped rice and fillings like chicken, crab, and tofu kimchi at 6000 College Ave in the former Old Brooklyn Bagels & Deli location.

Rooh collaboration adds Spanish twist

Rooh is keeping up its collaboration game, partnering with Absinthe Group’s chefs from Bellota, Barcino, Absinthe Brasserie, and Comstock Saloon. They join Rooh’s Sujan Sarkar for a one-night dinner of Indian and Spanish dishes this Sunday, June 24. Tickets are online.
