Overachiever Ayesha Curry to Host Family Food Competition Show on ABC

Restaurateur and newly minted wine mogul Ayesha Curry is about to welcome her third child, but today reveals that she’s already pregnant again — with an idea. It’s for a new cooking show, an American adaptation of the Australian program Family Food Fight, to run on ABC.

“Eight families from across the country will go head to head to claim the title of America’s number one food family,” Curry explains. That winning clan will also claim a $100,00 check. An air date for Family Food Fight hasn’t yet been released.

For Curry, the show is a good break after a bad one: Her last ABC program, The Great American Baking Show, was pulled after just one episode last December, when a judge on the show, chef Johnny Iuzzini, was accused by several women of harassment and abuse.

Incidentally, Curry’s husband can also be seen on television this week in a competition show capacity. His current program, some kind of athletic contest, returns on Wednesday.
