Super Duper Bringing Burgers to Emeryville Public Market

New, 1 comment

It’s opening by the end of the year

Hot on the heels of opening its Berkeley outpost, homegrown burger empire Super Duper has announced another new East Bay location, this one in the Public Market Emeryville. It’s the 13th link in the growing food chain, which has drawn comparisons to East Coast counterpart Shake Shack and is run by San Francisco serial restaurateur Adriano Paganini’s Back of the House restaurant group.

The Public Market, located at 5959 Shellmound Street, is a retail and restaurant complex that’s home to everything from a Peet’s Coffee shop to smaller food entrepreneurs like Minnie Bell’s Soul Movement. It got a big revamp back in 2013, and has been growing beyond the traditional food court model since, recently scoring tenants like The Periodic Table, a sake-focused bar from adjacent Shiba Ramen.

Super Duper, for its part, is a reliably popular spot from breakfast (don’t miss the doughnuts) to dinner, known for balancing reasonable prices and quality ingredients. Beef for its burgers comes from reputable Brandt Farms, Straus Family Creamery provides the dairy for their popular soft serve, and so on. The Emeryville Super Duper outpost is expected to open by the end of the year: Sit tight for updates.
