Attention Eater readers of all ages: Luke Tsai is the new lead editor at Eater SF, effective immediately. Tsai formerly ran the food sections at San Francisco magazine and East Bay Express, where he also served as the food critic. He has extensive experience covering restaurants all over the Bay Area and a particularly keen eye for gems outside of San Francisco proper.

Tsai replaces former editor Ellen Fort, who moved on to a new job at Sunset magazine a few months ago. He joins reporter Becky Duffett and our incoming to-be-announced senior editor. Together with our stable of freelance contributors, they’ll deliver your daily dose of pressing Bay Area restaurant news, dining guides, recommendations, and trends.

Please follow here on Twitter at @theluketsai and send any hot tips or juicy photos his way. We’re thrilled he’s joining the team.
