With the advent of sunny spring weather, San Franciscans have been swarming the city’s slim selection of rooftop bars, dressed to the nines and extremely thirsty for Instagrams and expensive cocktails. Now a new option has arrived: the elusive, seasonal Spirits in the Sky, the cocktail bar on the Sky Deck atop the Loews Regency Hotel.
City-dwellers who have been swanning about at Everdene and Charmaine’s pretending that they live in rooftop-saturated Los Angeles or New York can ride the elevator to the fortieth floor for open-air cocktails overlooking North Beach and the Transamerica building. (But, don’t forget to always bring a light sweater.)
To celebrate its reopening, chef Howard Ko of the hotel’s downstairs restaurant, Bear and Monarch, is collaborating with Calicraft Brewing Company on a menu that will be available this Thursday, April 25 and Friday, April 26. After that it’s back to cocktails and a short list of snacks like almonds, olives, and hummus, so get in while the oysters are cold and the getting is good. Check out the menus below.
Spirits in the Sky is now open Tuesdays – Saturdays from 4 p.m. – 8 p.m.
