AL’s Deli, the very casual follow-up to chef Aaron London’s other Mission restaurant AL’s Place, opens July 17.
Like London’s original restaurant, where a signature shade of “AL’s blue” is found throughout, the Deli is filled with pops of color. Pink signage, blue walls and tiles, and a bathroom saturated with tropical vibes (and wallpaper) give the whole space a beachy feel.
It’s an appropriate pairing with London’s menu of dishes inspired by trips to Jaffa, Israel, where diners spill onto the street at cafes. The menu is also influenced by Jewish delis (specifically Montreal smoked meats), with dishes like a pita filled with smokey brisket, potato hot pockets stuffed with smoked salmon and cream cheese, and falafel corn dog bites. Check out more of the menu here.
When it opens, it’ll serve lunch and dinner from 11 a.m.-9:30 p.m. seven days a week, with delivery and pickup via Caviar.
