If you've been paying any attention, you know that a bevy of new breweries, brewpubs, and taprooms are currently taking the Bay Area by storm. From the Dogpatch to Oakland, from established breweries to new names, even seasoned brewheads are having trouble keeping up with what's on tap. Fear not: we've assembled the ultimate need-to-know map to chart the bevy of new, notable, and upcoming beer spots in San Francisco and the East Bay. Every place on this list either opened in 2013 or will open later this year or early next year—and at 27 locations strong, that's a whole lot of beer.

The Willows

The Willows, the SOMA spinoff of The Sycamore that opened in June, boasts a “beer den” with 12 taps of rare and local beers like Dogfish Head Sixty-One and Calicraft Chez Panisse Farmhouse Ale. They're constantly switching out the selection, and the food menu, nearly identical to the Sycamore's, is solid.

InnerFog

InnerFog may just be the best-kept beer secret in the city. After a water pipe burst at this Inner Sunset wine bar, they rebuilt the bar with a new tap system for beer and wine and an impressive lineup of microbrews, both bottled and on tap.

Barrel Head Brewhouse

This upcoming NoPa beer destination will feature a hand-crafted wooden stave bar and a fireplace, along with beers made on site and a locally-sourced food menu. They're aiming to open in the fall, so keep a close eye on this one.

Magnolia Dogpatch

Dave McLean's brewery has outgrown its Haight Street digs and is close to opening a new 30-barrel production brewery in the Dogpatch. Expect a full bar focusing on whiskey and a BBQ-centric menu from Namu Gaji's Dennis Lee, along with Magnolia's signature selection of cask-conditioned ales.

Triple Voodoo Brewery

Faction Brewing

This forthcoming brewery from Drake's and Triple Rock alum Rodger Davis will feature classic styles like IPAs, pilsners, and pale ales. It'll be right next to Rock Wall Wines and St. George Spirits, giving Alameda a new booze trifecta.

Sierra Nevada Taproom

The big-name craft brewer is opening up its very first taproom outside of its home base in Chico, serving limited and special-release beers normally only available upstate. It'll likely open late this year or early next year.

Hoi Polloi Brewpub and Beat Lounge

This tiny nanobrewpub from avid homebrewer and first-time restaurateur Viet Vu will feature 15 or so drafts of both housemade creations and outside offerings, as well as bar snacks. They hope to open in December.

Diving Dog Brewhouse

Arguably the most unique concept on this list, Diving Dog will allow patrons to come in and brew their own beer, then come back later and bottle it to take home. They'll have 30 taps of their own creations and other goodies from local breweries, and hope to open in the fall.

Ale Industries

The Concord stalwarts are moving to a new space a block from the Fruitvale BART, which will expand their capacity, allow for more sour and barrel-aged beers, and support a taproom. They hope to open by the end of 2013.

TBD Drake's/Jupiter Beer Garden

Though it's likely to be one of the last spots on this list to open, a still-unnamed beer garden from the team behind Drake's and Jupiter is headed to Uptown Oakland next year, with live music, fire pits, and 25-30 taps.
