Mad Oak Bar 'N' Yard
The newly opened Mad Oak Bar N Yard boasts a two-level patio area, perfect for soaking in some East Bay sunshine. The downstairs patio has lots of picnic table seating, plus a big rooftop garden with a living wall. The Kingfish Pub & Cafe
Other than the fact that the bar was physically hoisted onto a truck and hauled across the street, not much has changed at the ol' Kingfish Pub— with the exception of a brand-new patio out back and accompanying outdoor bar.
Brews and sunshine can also be had at this new beer garden, where 7 draft brews and 3 draft ciders, plus Brazilian fare from Brazil Cafe, make for a festive atmosphere. Kids and dogs are welcome here.
Grab a beer (or a bloody Mary, if that's what it takes) and a seat on one of Zeitgeist's many benches. It's a great place to people watch, and guzzle some of their 40 beers on tap. And, if you were wondering, they have a strict policy that states "No Pets, No BS either!"
