Since we received such a strong response to our map of outdoor drinking destinations—which, by the way, has been updated again and will continue to be updated as submissions come in—today we present another guide. Seeing as how many people (supervisors included) have complained vehemently when a restaurant unexpectedly includes an extra gift in the bill, we've mapped out the various health care surcharges implemented by San Francisco restaurants. Again, your submissions/updates are key to making this a complete and accurate guide, and while we here at Eater HQ neither endorse or begrudge the surcharges (though we don't know why more restaurants don't take the Charles Phan approach), we thought such a map might come in handy for diners concerned with such matters.
